The 30 year reunion was the best yet for me. Possibly because I didnt' have any responsibilities. Thanks to everyone on the committe for all thier time and effort!
***
During high school, I managed Sunny's which used to be on the sand just on the north side of the pier. I employed Steve Horowitz wife Joni one summer (while she was in high school).
Attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara my freshman year of college. Completed my degree at CSULB as a Financial Management major in the school of Business.
Got married a month before my 22nd birthday. Had 3 wonderful, good looking kids.
Worked for Pepsi Co. in various management capacities for both the KFC & Taco Bell divisions. Regional management lead to setting up an maintaining data collection systems on the early Personal Computers of that era.
After working on our classes 10 year reunion with Teri Harbour and others, I started a company named Reunions Remembered. I was actually hired by HBHS class of 1980 to do their reunion, which was a blast.
I sold the high school reunion business in 1993 and moved to Oregon. I worked in computer sales briefly, then got a job working for Intel and a Test Engineer.
After Intel, I went to work for a point-of-sale software company where I eventually became the product manager for RapidFire POS System. It became the top selling software for the pizza restaurant industry.
RapidFire was bought by a large corporation and moved all operations to the east coast 5 years later. I chose to stay in Oregon and helped start a new point-of-sale company, FireFly Technologies.
In 1979, Teri Harbour and I headed up our second high school reunion committee. I'd plead insanity, but actually we really Teri and I enjoyed working together and watching people's faces as they reconnected to old friends.
Not long after the 20 year reunion, I was divorced form my first wife. The kids chose to live with me, which was a blessing in more than one way. Even though I told my kids I would not remarry again until my mid 50's, my youngest son had different ideas.
In the spring of 2003, my youngest son Collin and his best friend Tom played out their own version of the "Parent Trap." They managed to get my now wife, Barbara, and I in a room together and abandon us. While I was not pleased with them at the moment, I have been thanking them for the last 6 years.
Married Barbara on May 1, 2004. Our kids were all knew and loved each other prior to our dating, which has made for one big happy family. We now have a girl and five boys.
After a trip to Spain & France in the spring of 2007, I left FireFly Technologies and started a new company of my own, POS Hotline. Today POS Hotline is the national sales & support company for RapidFire POS and the larges reseller of SpeedLine POS system in the US. It is a small corporation, but we live well and I truly enjoy my life style.
God has bless my life with good friends and a wonderful family. I honestly beleive I am one of the luckiest people I know.
May we all enjoy the blessing of good friends making the best of our situations in the coming years! |

School Story: |
|
A pretty damn good one that involves a number of classmates... and it happened on campus! But I don't think any of us would be willing to put it in print. We've kept it our secret all these years.
You'll have to ask me in person at the next reunion. |
| Who did you hang out with most in High School if anyone? (Specific people, groups, etc..) |

Dan Lurie, David Motsinger, Devin Holcomb, Susan Oliver ('80)

Yearbook photo

Dan Lurie and I take a fishing adventure in Punta Colorada, north of Cabo San Lucas summer of 1988.

Took the photo, then had to through this one back!

Ken Mulden, myself and Dan Lurie spring 2004.

My wife Barbara and I in Tahiti / Bora Bora.

Another summer at Lake Tahoe with 3 of the 5 kids. David, Collin, myself and Thomas.

A trip to Cabo San Lucas with the Family. Barbara, David, Collin, Christian, Thomas and Kaitlin.

Christian draws the longest stick and gets to pull in a sail fish. He looks a lot like his dad.

A family photo at the resort. We love Cabo.

Barbara and I enjoy some quiet time together.

But that never last long. I love playing to much!

Photo from our trip to France and Spain in 2007.

Christian's marriage to daughter in law Kimberly in 2007.
